				ELINT version of Boeing 727
I was in Los Angeles Wednesday, having lunch at a restaurant near LAX (which featured a number of WWII aircraft, including apparently a ME-109G-10) and saw a 727 landing. As it approached I noticed it had a pointed noise and bumps along the fuselage, similar to the RC-135 Rivet Joint operated by the USAF. It was painted white and unmarked except for the tail number, which unfortunately I was unable to read. Has anyone ever heard of such an aircraft. Perhaps being used by Border Patrol or DEA? |
