Fw 190D 9 wn 211115 black or red 18?
Hi,
A question to all Dora "experten": I have seen several month ago in Eagle Cals #61 a different profile of wn 211115 with red 18 and now in the front cover of the next Crandall's book about Dora 9-11-13 we can see that Mr. Crandall confirm again the profile. In the past wn 211115 is always identified like black 18 found in Pilsen CZ 1945(2 photo b\w 190d Walk Around pg. 74 + colour profile pg.73; Kommandeur Decals kd7202 profile1). In Air War over the Czech Land by J.Rajilich pg. 76 I found probably another b\w photo of Black\red 18 in a derelict state, the caption told only about fw 190 at Plzen-Bory airfield. Another problem with the orthochromatic film (red looks like near black) as we can see very well in Messerschmitt Bf 109K camouflage and marking edit by JaPo? Waiting for the next 190D camouflage and marking by Eric Larger and Crandall's Dora9-11-13............. Best regards Francesco M. Lentini |
