Torrazzo
Gentlemen,
a question for our Italian experts: I would like to know the exact location of the airstrip that was known as Torrazzo in Sicily. It was apparently one of a group of auxiliary airfields in the area between Catania and Gerbini and I have found references where it was listed as " Gerbini 6 ". So: where exactly was this airfield ? And what is the correct spelling - Torrazzo with one "r" or with two "rr" ? Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Regards Jochen Prien
