Re: "Elektron" in Bf109 Cockpits
Hi,
Elektron Metall were specialist suppliers of Magnesium alloy and other light metal products before and during the war. This included castings, solid forged, stamped and rolled items. They were frequent advertisers in the Flugzeugbau magazines of the period. ELEKTRON leicht und fest, Leichtmtallegierungen der I.G.Farbenindustrie Aktiengesellschaft - Bitterfeld - Elektron, Hydronalium, Igedur Similar products came from Durener Metallwerke A.G - Duralumin; or Leipziger Leichtmetall-Werk Rackwitz - EMgAN Most major countries had similar manufacturers and products.
