Sometimes the local history section of the main Library for the area may hold police, or civil defence records. Police reports where they survive can provide a lot of info. on crashes in an area,
The County Records office, rather than the local libraries, should hold the Police reports. Local History sections of the library may hold other reports etc. Best Wishes. Robert.
