1 december 1943 Claim Bf109
Hi,
I am looking for the pilot(s) who claimed to shot down Feldwebel Alfred Miksch. I have read, it could have been one from unit 355 FG. On this forum this info about Miksch (flew in 8./JG1) was posted before: Miksch: on 1 December 1943 in Bf 109 G-6 "Black 13" (W.Nr. 140 007) in the Nijmegen area. On the same day this person crashed. Hoppe: on 1 December 1943 in Fw 190 A-6 "White 6" (W.Nr. 550 731) over Cambrai/Epinoy by Spitfire fighters. I have an original document that Miksch was shot down and crashed in the Belgian Albert Canal around/near the city of St. Troud (base NJG). This is not the above mentioned Nijmegen area ! He was also buried at the cemetary in St. Troud. Thanks if you can help me in my research! Martin |
