The War Lover, with Steve McQueen

The War Lover has been released for R2 DVD and I am wondering if it is worth a purchase, not really remembering much apart from the ending (when McQueen flies into the white cliffs of Southern England).

The reviews on Amazon.com are positive, but I would appreciate a second opinion closer to home
