I./JG27 Losses - 23 May 1940
Hi Folks,
I'm a complete novice at researching aircraft losses, so I'm looking for a bit of a steer if anyone has a few minutes to help me please? I'm researching the action on 23 May 1940 when James Leathart rescued S/L White (O/C 74 Sqn) from Calais airfield accompanied by Al Deere & Johnny Allen all of 54 Sqn. I'm trying to find the markings of the three Me109s shot down by Allen and Deere during that action. I believe that they were from I./JG27 so please can anyone give me a steer as to where I can look for this info? Many thanks in advance. Jon
