Parachute Type?
Can anyone help with identifying the use of this type of parachute. It would have been used in SOE drops but is too big for pigeons, it is 3 feet in dia. It is too small for containers or packages. My feeling is that it may have been used to drop the dummy paratroopers - the "Gingerbread Men"
Any theories? Last edited by sit72300; 1st October 2009 at 19:56. Reason: attachments |
