Loss Of ED995 Hameln 8/9th Oct 1943
I am the son of a Lancaster Bomber Engineer who flew 51 operations from 1943 to 1945.
During my fathers first tour he flew 30 ops with 12 squadron in the same Lancaster Bomber ED995! Two days after his final sortie ED 995 was shot down over Hameln on the night of 8th/9th October1943 I am looking for information on this loss to add to the web site I have set up as a tribute to my late father. www.raf-bombercommand.co.uk andy49
