Flight duration of Bf 109 F-2
I would appreciate your comments on following topic:
If Bf 109 F-2 (DB 601 N engine) flew a mission with duration about 1 hour and 25 minutes, does it mean that it was equipped with auxiliary fuel tank? Or was it a flight at limit of consumption from ordinary fuselage tank? I undestand that this is tricky question, since fuel consumption depends on many conditions during flight. Theoretically Bf 109 F-2 should have range 650 km at average speed 528 km/h.
