Loss Data for I./JG 5 and II./JG 5 on Reichs Defense

Does anyone have good loss lists for these Jagdgruppen? I need loss tallies for these units (that is, numbers destroyed, damaged, KIA, MIA, WIA) for a few dates:

I./JG 5: 1 Apr, 11 Apr, 24 May 1944
II./JG 5: 21 Jul, 6 Aug, 9 Aug 1944

Mission details would be appreciated, but right now just the bare loss numbers would be enough. Any help would be appreciated.

Don

Hello Don,

From the old JG5 history :

I/JG5
11 April 1944 - Oblt. Edgar Habermann 2 Staffel gefallen
Ogfr. Herbert Burkhardt Stab 1/JG5 gefallen

II/JG5
21 July 1944 - Ofhr.Werner Goldner 9 Staffel gefallen

09 Aug 1944 - Gef.Herbert Leibe 6 Staffel gefallen
Lt.Horst Carl 6 Staffel gefallen

it doesn't give mission details or even locations in the loss listing from the book ( I just have photocopies of the lists)

By the way I'm a big fan of your work - keep it up

Cheers
Bruce Lander

Don:

Not much--email on the way. Maybe Eric's new volume will have some.

Thanks, John & Bruce -- everything helps. I don't know if Eric's new volume reaches 1944, and I'm afraid it'll arrive too late for my current need. I'm plugging the last holes in my RLV-Tag "War Diary" manuscript. Frontline (Greenhill's successor, sort-of) is expecting it in June, which means the book should be on the shelves by year's end.

Horrido!

My fingers are crossed, and my thumbs are pressed. Makes it hard to get anything done on this stupid computer.
