The CWGC website mentions two RAF pilots who were killed during 1946 and are buried at Celle War Cemetery. They are F/O George A. Cook of 16 Squadron (had Spitfires at that time) with date 15-2-1946 and W/O (Pilot) Norman Dixon on 27-4-1946. Flight Magazine in its Aug. 29, 1946 issue states that Cook was killed on active service. So far I haven't found if these men were involved in flying accidents, but it may be start. Rüdiger,
F/Lt Cook presumably involved in crash of Spitfire FR XIV serial MT852. Flew into tree descending out of low cloud Celle, spitfires.ukf.net says. Spitfire was assigned to 16 Squadron, Cook's unit Regards, Leendert
