The pilot was Henschel not Herschel. Wk Nr possibly 801788 or 801738. Uffz Helmut Brossner, Uffz Wolfgang Hofer & Uffz Gerhard Elfruth. What is your interest with these losses?

Re: 4 more Ju88 A-17 june 1944

Salut Claude,

Olaf Lübke survived the crash and became POW. I'm in contact with him from time to time and about 6 weeks ago i was visiting him. I'm working on the missions of KG 26 and KG 77 in the mediterranean area and specially southern france, as i spent almost all my hollidays in this area. But of course, i collected also information about missions in the "north".

He was writing a small report about this mentioned mission, i will copy it for you. Can you read/translate german text?

Greetings

Lino

Hello Claude,
I am also interested in informations about torpedo bombers of KG77 in the mediteranian june to august 1944. My father had been the navigator of a JU88 A4 torp. 3Z+OH. He and his crew survived 21 missions. I have the original log-book of this plane from one of the crew-members where all the flights are documented and fotos from that time. Have you any interesting material, fotos, documents?

Regards, Harald

Re: 4 more Ju88 A-17 june 1944

Hello Harald,

I think you can try to contact Chris Goss, Rémi (RT) and Lino von Gartzen ; the first hand infos I have came from them (principally infos on losses sustained by KG77 and KG26 during the period june to august 1944).
I am very interested if you can give me infos on missions accomplished by your father during this period.

Regards

Claude
