Re: Three FW200 Condor take-off times, 1940 and 1941
Hi edNorth , thanks for your post . Like you I also believe that this plate is from a part of the Condor and is not as such the Werks Plate . This is a "Weser " plate , but I still think that the Werks Nr. from the Condor that crashed in Ireland on 20 August 1940 is 0015 . I have also done research on this crash plus the other FW200 that were in service at this time also , 0015 is possibly one of three that could have crashed here at that time , of course I cannot be 100% sure but I am still continuing to research this crash .
As for the photo on ebay , yes it is from this crash . It was taken by a local man at the time , he took over 20 such photos and all are different .I was lucky some years ago and got copies of these photos . |
