Re: First names 429 RCAF sqdn crew
Dear all,
since few years I am studying the crash of Halifax MZ453. Mr. Augusta confirmed that he landed with the parachute in Keerbergen and it might be possible that the plane crashed in Tremelo, the village where I live. Does somebody know how/where we possible may find the confirmation about the correct crashlocation ? The civil records of Tremelo do not contain any information about the crash but there are several eye-witnesses who visited the wreckage of an "olive coloured allied airplane" in my village. We also found a smal part of a kind of a tank but untill now, we do not have official confirmation about the identity of the plane that crashed at this location. Many thanks in advance for your help Steven |
