Another couple of Spitfires on the Beach
Here are two more pictures of crash landed Spitfires on a beach. Both have the old fashioned tail flash so I'm thinking Dunkirk..

I own a print of this image. It shows 54 Squadron's PO Alan C Deere's N3180 KLoB "KIWI" down on the beach at De Panne, Belgium, on May 28, 1940. He burned out the center section of his plane when he abandoned it after FL on the beach. Regards, |
