Luftwaffe tailwheel Spornrad

Hi to all,

I'm interested in buying a Bf-109 Messerschmitt tailwheel. I found one on the web, and according to the seller the markings are: 350 x 135 8-8105 C4 U20.
Could anyone tell me if this might have been used on a Me-109 G? Or is it different from the Messerschmitt tailwheels?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Luftwaffe tailwheel Spornrad

Hi,

That is correct for the Fw189, Hs126, Ju87B, Me109 G thru K series, and Me110.

There is a nice one on eBay:

Re: Luftwaffe tailwheel Spornrad

Thanks for the information! However, the reason I'm not so sure is the fact that I found on the web several sources, stating that the Me-109 G and K series used the 350 x 135 8-8104 C4. The wheel I'm interested in is a 350 x 150 (I mistyped it in the previous post ) 8-8105 C4 U20. Several digits are different, but I could not find anything about this type of tailwheel... The rim of the wheel is a little bit smaller than on all the other versions I have seen on most Messerschmitts. If anyone knows more about this wheel, let me know!
