BF110 and BF109 propeller

It is possible to tell the difference between a BF109E and BF110C propeller.
Different numbers on the base perhaps?

Re: BF110 and BF109 propeller

I am curious to know this also. I have a propeller blade said to be from a ME-109 E1 (1134) based on the inscription written on the blade. On the base is: ZU-W.Nr 12.5574/3

Re: BF110 and BF109 propeller

Both the Bf 109 E-1 and Bf 110 C-1 used VDM 9-11081 props. The Bf 110 C-1 had 9-11081 A/B (without automatic) but the 9-11081C (with automatic) was also possible. But as far as I know, the Bf 109 E-1 only used the VDM 11081A in conjunction with the DB 601A.

Re: BF110 and BF109 propeller

Hi Guys! Harold is correct. However, if you are looking at blade numbers (on the base), both types use the same blade, ie 9-11073.10
Hope that helps, SM

Re: BF110 and BF109 propeller

In fact propellers were developed for engine not for aircraft. The 9-11073.10 blade was appointed to 9-11081 A (ohne Automatik) or 9-11081 C (mit Automatik) propellers.
All were associated with DB 601 A/N engines. These engines were mounted on Bf 109 E and Bf 110 C/D. That's all...
