Books on Jagdgeschwader 7

Dear friends,

what are your recommendations for a documentation on Jagdgeschwader 7? I know about a title from osprey, but have no idea about it's quality; same for the title from Motorbuch. Are these worth buying?

Is there something else to be recommended?

Regards,
Stefan

Re: Books on Jagdgeschwader 7

There is Neil Page's (Falkeeins) favourablöe review on the Opsrey volume on amazon.co.uk...

Is the Motorbuch volume by Manfred Böhme?

Re: Books on Jagdgeschwader 7

The Motorbuch version has been translated and was published by Schiffer in 2004.

"Jagdgeschwader 7, The World's First Jet Fighter Unit 1944/19452 by M.Boehme [Schiffer, 2004] ISBN: 978-0887403958

There are currently 23 example on Abebooks here.

The Osprey book by Robert Forsyth & Jim Laurier is a nice potted version of the Motorbuch/Schiffer but also updates some of the info from the older Boehme edition. I'd recommend both...

Cheers

The Osprey volume is available at discounted price on Osprey's site, along with several other Aviation Elite -series titles.
