Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Many many thanks Unikum!
I'm unfortunately in a work phase which leaves me with no time to carry on my Flickr page... I'll be back with more information at the beginning of November. Cheers Marc |

for example. All pictures are in the said monthly. At the article's end, you can find an add for a book where it is pretended you can find his dairy! Try this if you have time .. it's tiring down there ![]() http://avaxhome.ws/magazines/military/ Cheers, Franck. |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Dear all!
I just uploaded a serie of new pics of late war Bf 109's. High among them is a shot of crash landed Bf 109 K-4 "Gelbe 20", III./JG 53: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream I remember the authenticity of this picture has been disputed because of the "body" seen in the cockpit which condition did not match the thoroughly degraded state of the wreck, with its swastika already hacked out, among others... IMHO, the picture is genuine, and there is a person sitting for the pic in the cockpit who moved his head at the wrong moment... Any suggestions? Any more details as to which particular machine? Any W.Nr.? Good challenges there to start a great 2013;-)) Cheers Marc |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Hi gang,
Another issue arises: where was this well known serie shot? My current guess is Erla Leipzig. Any confirmation would be much appreciated! http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream Cheers Marc |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Just commented on this in the photostream but I'll repeat it here, I rather believe WNF for three reasons:
1. Camouflage looks more like WNF than Erla 2. I believe that by the summer of 1944 Erla used the tall tails on their G-6's 3. The setup looks different from the photos I've seen from Erla taken in 1943. Cheers! / Anders |
