Re: I need a source for RAF claims in the Med. for 1943

Hi Scott

I regret that this will entail many visits to Kew to extract the information you require out of the various squadron ORBs, not something that can be done quickly. That's the name of the game, really. Intense research is the only way you will build up an archive - there is no 'quick-fix'. I'm sure that others will agree.

PS: Should you find this magic list, however, please let me know!! If you can wait about 10 years you will be able to read just such a book covering the Mediterranean air war currently being complied by Chris Shores and me!! If we live that long!!

Cheers
Brian

Frank Olynyk is working on a RAF MTO victory list but I cannot tell when it going to be available. I am awared of another project (by Midlands) covering RAF MTO losses but again, I cannot tell, when it is to be published.

Midland projects is (AFAIK) a book about RAF bomber losses in MTO, on a comparable format as the "Bomber Command Losses" series

Thank you all for your replies,

I am starting to realize this is nothing more than a world wide jigsaw puzzle and even with all the people searching and acquiring little bits of information some questions (and thruths) will never be answered. I'll keep plugging away until I run out of time money or breath!!!

Thanks
Scott
