Re: D 6889

Hello Horst,
From the book "The S.E.5 File" an Air Britain publication.
D6889 was one of 150 S.E. 5a's ordered under contract No. A.S. 30231 [ or 30281 ?] from Wolseley Motors Ltd, Birmingham and numbered D6851 to D7000. Delivered to 1 AAP Coventry.
D6889 - (Viper) engine ( 200hp Wolseley W.4A Viper );
At 1 AAP( aeroplane acceptance park ) Coventry 1.6.1918;
92 Sqdn Tangmere 6.6.1918;
To France with Sqdn 2.7.1918;
[ A claim for a] 2-Str ( 2 - seater ) OOC (out of control) Armentiéres 19.00-20.00, 28.7.1918 (Lt EV Holland);
FTR from 10.00 OP (operational patrol), last seen at 11.10 diving on an EA formation near Cambrai 5.9.1918 (Lt EV Holland POW).

Wonder who Holland shot down on the 28.7.1918 ?
And
Who brought him down on the 5.9.1918 ?

All the very best
Alex
