Hi Melvin,

Like Matti I have the crew as POWs. A small note from Flypast of May 1987 said the 88 is believed to have beeen attacked by Sgt. Hollowell while on a mission to Liverpool . the port engine was knocked out and the starboard damaged. Crew ordered to bail out, while the pilot made a forced landing and tried without success to set fire to the aircraft by firing into the fuel tanks.
Location I have is Welney Wash near Downham market ( MR F 9912) at O400 hrs,
