FW 190 Wk Nrs
Hello Chris
According to Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug by Rodeike, Fw 190 A-4 "Yellow 4" (0140 746) was flown by Oberleutnant Siegfried Schnell (93 victories, RK-EL, killed in action 25 February 1944), Staffelkapitän of 9./JG 2. It was lost on 1 October 1944 with 4./JG 110 as "Blue 25" when Fahnenjunker-Unteroffizier Rudolf Schramm fatally crashed near Fuchshain. The same source states that Fw 190 A-6 "Yellow 2" (W.Nr. 530 314) was flown by Oberleutnant Josef Wurmheller (102 victories, RK-S, killed in action 22 June 1944), Staffelkapitän of 9./JG 2, and it was lost on 23 September 1943 when he landed at Vannes during a bombing raid. I hope this helps somewhat. Horrido! Leo |
