Stuka Units near Mannheim 1940

Can anyone tell me easily what Stuka units would have been based near Mannheim prior to the Battle of France?

Good evening Chris !

No STUKA units are known along this time-frame based in the area of Mannheim. There was I(St.)/186(T) = Träger-Stuka-Gruppe I/186 at Hennweiler near Kirn on the Nahe River just prior May 10th, 1940. This is about 80 km westbound Mannheim.

This unit was prior stationed at Wertheim, about 70 km East of Mannheim. Perhaps, some landings at training flights for preparing BoF at Mannheim-Sandhofen and Lachen-Speyersdorf had taken place by STUKA a/c.

Best wishes !
