It's in "The Diving Eagle", 28 April 1941 entry.
All crew asleep, Stahl awakened when the automatic control coupled in the port engine's supercharger at 4200 meters.

thanks a lot for this quote, otherwise i had to face digging out my copy of this book. Nonetheless my recall abilities obviously are in better shape than my eyes are.
