Any RAF nigthfighter claim in the night of 21-22 novembre 1940?

In the night of 21 -22 novembre 1940 a BR.20M of the 3a Sq. B.T. went missing during a bombing mission against Ipswich harbour. The bodies of two of the crewmembers, ten. Paoli and. serg. Rildani, were found after some days on the Wassenaar beach.
The reason of the loss is unknown.

Does any RAF nightfighter pilot made claims during that night that could fit with the italian loss?

Thank you

Gianandrea

Chris,
thank you for the answer.

I've made the question relying upon the infos find in a book. But depeer researches have shown that they were not correct.
In fact Italian bombers took off from 23.30 of 20 november 1940 till 00.30 of the 21 november, coming back to Melsbroek after 2-3 hours.

So, can you check eventual RAF nightfighter claims in the first hours of 21 november, please?

Thank you

Gianandrea

Hi,

despite that 65 night fighters were sent up probably no claims. Italian bombers reported to have bomb Ipswich and Harwich.

Regards

Robert

Nothing from a German viewpoint-accident seems to be the favoured reasons for loss
