I am not expert in 8/9AF. But I would like to ask for help regarding action of 354.FG on January 5, 1944. I am looking for Me 110 claims and memories of airmen on these claims...should belonged to NJG 5 and ZG 76. Any info is welcomed

Lt. W.S. Emerson (355th FS) Me 110 destroyed W/Kiel 1155 hrs
Lt. E.E. Hunt (353rd FS) Me 110 destroyed near Albersdorf 1200 hrs
Lt. T.T. Radojits (355th FS) Me 110 destroyed near Kiel 1200 hrs
Lt. E.E. Ryan (355th FS) Me 110 destroyed near Kiel 1200 hrs
Lt. D.M. Beerbower (353rd FS) Me 110 destroyed near Arum Island 1205 hrs
LtCol. K.R. Martin (HQ) and Lt. J.M. Lane (356th FS) shared Me 110 destroyed near Kiel 1210 hrs. They also shared a second Me 110 in same area, same time.
Lt. R.D. Welden (356th FS) Me 110 destroyed near Kiel 1210 hrs
LtCol. Martin and Lt. Welden shared Me 110 destroyed near Kiel 1210 hrs

You may find some accounts in the Osprey Aviation Elite book # 7 "354th Fighter Group" by William N Hess, published in 2002 (ISBN 1 84176 315 2).

On pages 15 to 17 you will find a description of the air-battle and some pilot's accounts. There is also a note, that a gun camera footage of Emerson exists, showing the him getting very close to a Bf 110.

I visited the 354.FG web page and I am aware of all publications related to this Group. But as it is out of my main scope of interest, I am not gooing to buy those for just one or two pages. There for, anyone can send me via PM please the scns of relevant pages from ay of the books? Have none so far.
