I disagree with the above...
The top part is a mounting plate for a Morse Key...so this is not from any fighter... This has to be a large transport or bomber/destroyer. Mike |

A Morse key was fitted to some Bf110s (heavy fighter) in the rear cockpit as this wartime photo shows. The key used in Luftwaffe aircraft was the T2 (the type in the Bf110 photo), originally designed and built by Lorenz. The T2 was smaller, lighter than the Luftwaffe T1, a Siemens design for ground use. The T2 key pictured shows a metal base plate with a hook-latch connection slot that appears to match the configuration of the mounting unit (with AFN2) - by the way, a rather rare item - shown by Chrille.
