It seems that Bf 109 of Lt. Martin Lutz (3.J/88) was badly damaged in air combat against I-16´s - he managed to make successful forcelanding behind own lines, but the plane was written off.

This info was found from the modest little book of Michael Ziefle (2011): Die Messerschmitt Bf 109 B/C/D in ihrer Zeit.

From the same source also following claims:

Unteroffizier März - 3.J/88 (?), shot down in November 1938 (?) and ending up to be a POW.

On 29.11.1938 one Bf 109 "most likely" lost in combat.
