Fw 190 in Toulouse (France, 1943) Pilot Alders :

Bonjour,

Please can we find information about this Luftwaffe pilot : "Obgfr. Alders" (according to the handwriting back photo which adds in "Toulouse, Blagnac, Sept. 1943" ...).
Unit ? career of this airman ? ...
Thank you
Philippe

Hello,
there was an Obgefr. Alders (sorry, i haven't the first name), who was in the I.gruppe of the JG2 (perhaps the 2./JG2) during summer 1944....probably the same pilot as yours....

Re: Fw 190 in Toulouse (France, 1943) Pilot Alders :

From the angle the photo is taken it would appear that the aircraft is having the standard cooling slots of the earlier models of the Fw 190 A aircraft (i.e., A-2, A-3 or A-4 (early)), while the supposed location (i.e., Toulouse, Blagnac) and date (i.e., September 1943) would suggest that it belonged to one of the Ergänzungs-Jagdgruppen?
