Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hello again Rudi,
The Si 204 D-1 in your Post #3484 may be WNr. 3221xx, St.Kz. BU+P_ which was also photographed by members of an unknown US AAA unit at Fl.Horst/Industriehafen Kölleda, Germany in 1945 (coordinates 51.189075 11.217209).
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Does anyone recognize the buildings in the background of Rudy's picture?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Thank you RudiS for this Fw 190 S-8 WNr 350194 at Ausburg or Gablingen (This is the same location ? ) Note the A-8/R8 wings with the Mk 108 gun's holes and the wheels doors like an A-3 version.. This plane had any crosses and any swastikas but had his WNr on the tail. I don't know if they're never been painted or were painted over with a light grey.

Best regards
Lumabe.

Hello Rudi and Lumabe,
Post #3433 – I too have unmarked ArbGem-built Fw 190 S-8, WNr. 350194, as being abandoned at Fl.Horst Gablingen. Its original national markings consisted of late-war all-black Balkenkreuze and white-outline Hakenkreuze.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Thanks for this information, Steve. As a confirmation for the location we can see in the background Bf 109 G-12 W.Nr. unknown "Weisse 60", well documented by several photos known to have been taken at Gablingen.

Cheers
Marc
