Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Marc,

I am documenting the Ju 88G WNr. 620 507 that you have noted above. I have Balss' book and found the loss there. I also have the Lw. daily materiel loss reports (LwGQM 6. Abt.), but I can't seem to find the entry there. Could you give the number of the LwGQM 6. Abt. report or the date of the report, with the entry number for the 620 507? This would be very very much appreciated.

Thank you for your contribution to this case

RA

Dear Rabe Anton,

Sorry, I don't have a copy of the original documentation; all the above in formation is from Michael Balss's loss list. Maybe he will have more references ?

Cheers
Marc

Report 220/45 dated 11 March 1945, Lfd Nr. 39 under Luftflotte Reich.

Additionally, evidence from Flugbücher shows this aircraft was 4R+EP flown by Ofw. Robert Lüddeke on the night of 13-14 February 1945, with his crew of Fw. Ulrich Hess and Kurt Wacker. Ofw. Lüddeke took off from Fl. Pl. Mainz-Finthen at 20.55 hrs on 13 February, and crash-landed at the same airfield at 00.32 hrs on 14 February. The crash-landing resulted in the 20% airframe damage recorded in the Genst.Gen.Qu.6.Abt return.

Brilliant, Roger. Thank you. (I wonder why it had the flame suppressors on the exhausts?)
