Re: Fw 190 loss 28. Sept. 1944

I´ve got some more details about this loss:
Fw 190 A-8, Werk.Nr 171 531, Gefr. Richard Himpel (1./JG 2),
and a problem:
-"Luftkampf mit P-47" (German sources)
-"Shot down in combat with two Mustangs" (eyewitness)

Did anybody have further informations about claims of USAAF-units in this area for that day?

Every information is welcome,

Regards, Heuser

(And a big THANK YOU to "Kaczmarek" from Luftarchiv.de)
