Seeking full name of F/O R.M. Batten 91 Sqn.

I am looking for the full name of F/O R. M. Batten (116035) who served with 91 Sqn. before being shot down and take prisoner on 9 Feb. 1943. Peter Hall's history of 91 Sqn. refers to him as "Ron" so presumably his first name was "Ronald." Curiously a search on the London Gazette does not yield his commissioning notice which would give his full name. His subsequent promotions are however listed (F/L wef 29 Oct. 43). Another oddity is that he is listed in The Air Force List as "D. M. Batten."

Thanks,
Tom

Ronald. I was in touch with him some years ago about his time on CAM ships & his kill/being shot down

Thanks, Chris. Any idea of his middle name? I assume that he is British but I don't find any listing for him on the Free BDM website.

Re: Seeking full name of F/O R.M. Batten 91 Sqn.

I've done a little more digging in the London Gazette and found that F/L Ronald Mortimer Batten (116035) transferred or was appointed to the newly reconstituted Auxiliary Air Force on 3 March 1947 as a Flying Officer with service number 91266.
