XII. Fl.-Korps/I. Jagdkorps?

Gentlemen,

the Kriegstagebuch - War Diary - of XII. Fliegerkorps / I. Jagdkorps, presently stored at both the Bundesarchiv and the National Archives, states that with effect of September 14th, 1943, GenMaj. Josef Schmid was posted to take over command of the XII. Fliegerkorps, as confirmed by Korpstagesbefehl - order of the day - Nr. 132, issued September 17th, 1943.

On October 15th, 1943, the Technischer Stab XII. Fliegerkorps was renamed Technischer Stab I. Jagdkorps, effective immediately, as registered in the KTB on page 1537 on Oct. 15th, 1943. Consequently the next Tagesbefehl, the first to be issued by I. Jagdkorps, dated October 24th, 1943, was titled Korpstagesbefehl Nr. 1, registered on page 1593 of the KTB.

In BAMA RL 8/91 KTB I Jagdkorps states Korpsgefechtsstand: Schloß De Breul, Driebergen.
