By the summer of 1940, Bf109s had been captured & extensively flight tested so why hush it up? Also, flying a Bf 109 at that time if 1940 might not have been a good idea. Losses of airworthy captured 109s are known so I cannot agree why this would be hushed up

Many thanks for the reply. I have no idea, but I was just passing on the comment in the post and that is what it is just a comment he made. I started this thread as a favour to a friend who was told this story and thought it might be nice to tell him any info that might be out there. The guy who told him the story passed away some years ago and sadly is not around to ask further questions. Kind Regards |
