Luftwaffe unit involved Preddy action 6.8.44
Hi Guys,
I'm researching a painting I've been commissioned to do featuring George Preddy's six victory mission on the 6th of August 1944. What I'm not too sure about is which unit the 109s he ran into belonged to. From the gun camera footage, I think I can see a tail band, and I believe I had read somewhere a long time ago it was Jagdgeschwader 27 that was involved. Can anyone throw some more light on this please? Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Gareth
