Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, that is the much photographed QT-H at Berry-au-Bac airfield. I have never seen an image with the serial, though there are good grounds for believing it is L5440. It seems that a small number of 142 Sqn. Battles by 10 May 1940 had had their serials painted over, but most did not based on photographic evidence. Regards, Martin Gleeson.

Thanks, I should have spotted that QT-H was also possible. Looking at photos, there seem to have been two QT-Hs abandoned in France. One is always pictured surrounded by bushes and trees, the other is in more open terrain. Another QT-H was K9259, which was also abandoned at Berry-au-Bac at around the same time.

With 20 March 1941 I take it you mean its loss date? From where does this come from? All my sources state N3290 was lost 23 May 1940 (I checked three!) Cheers Stig
