Re: Thombs from French aircraftmen in Belgium.
The usual procedure for French airmen was to reburied in France after the war.
A French war cemetery in Belgium I know is at Chastre, but I don't remember an airman buried here. |

Re: Thombs from French aircraftmen in Belgium.
To my knowledge there are at least four French airmen buried in Belgium :
- Adjt-Chef Jean Lux from G.A.O. 552 shot down on 13th May 40 at about 3 km from St Niklaas, now buried in the French cemetery of Chastre. - Sgt Lucien Rigalleau from G.C. I/3 shot down on 15th May 1940 at Surice, now buried at Chastre. - Sgt-Chef Jean-Marie Motte from G.C. III/10 shot down on 14th May 1940 at Thy-le-Château, now buried at Thy-le-Château. - Lt Henri de Rohan Chabot from G.C. II/2 shot down on 14th May 1940 at Florennes, now buried at Chaumont. |
