Hans,
What I gathered is that the BAF sent 2 x C-119s and 4 x CF-100s to Congo to liven up the 10-year celebration of the Kamina (air) base in July 1959. This before the independence of Congo and the later separation of Katanga. The jet fighters were of the 1st Fighter Wing. Not related to the UN air mission. Regards, Leendert |
