Hello Michel,

From Erik Mombeeck's book "Dans le ciel de France, Histoire de la JG 2 vol.4 : 1943", page 95, it is noted that Lt. Horst Hanning claimed a Spitfire on 15th May 1943 at 17h06.

Some minutes later he was shot down and killed.
