Dear friends, in the book "The German Air Force 1934 to 1945 - Part 13 - Operation in the Reich Defense and in the West" is on page 221 on any of the three illustrated photos "Karl Ruppel", who at the Bodenplatte Einsatz am 01. January 1945 at Mützenich and resting in the cemetery Vossenack, to see. Also, his name is Richard Ruppel and so he is not missing. Uffz. Richard Ruppel was a member of the 11./JG 2.
