At the bottom of page 69 of the same book there's a Ju 88 S with a GI posing in front, again captioned as Ebendorf. If you look behind his shoulder (and under the fuselage) then E is in the background there too.

Hello Nick,

to the photo on page 69 with the GI posing in front of a Ju 88 S taken at Ebendorf near Magdeburg:
First amendment in Jet&Prop FA 7: Ju 88 T-3, this is a fairly rare example powered by Jumo 213s and not by Jumo 211s. Seeing no bomb sight housing appears below the nose, it must be the reconnaissance version.
Second amendment in Jet&Prop FA 8: The Ju 88 S-3 was equipped with Jumo 213 A-1 engines.
