Most interesting, Nick.
I have just read briefly through the first entries, is it possible that the pilots name for the loss of 24.12.1943 is misread by you (I am not sure if the diary is handwritten or typed, thus the question). Teh GenQu6Abt loss record states his name as Schwing (but it is just as likely that this is erronous...)
