Uffz. Kurt Helmut FINDEISEN (29.4.1920)

Hello everyone,
I have another similar mystery.
Uffz. Kurt Helmut FINDEISEN (29.4.1920)
This pilot 2.Staffel JG 26 died January 16, 1945.
Does anyone have more information about this pilot?
Maybe the same person with Uffz. Findeisen 5./ZG 26, 7./JG 6 (there 2 victories).
I will be very happy for any information.
best regards Tony

Re: Uffz. Kurt Helmut FINDEISEN (29.4.1920)

Hello John,
thank you for the quick response.
September 29, 1944 was wounded.Does anyone know more about him?
For example, where he underwent training, when he came to ZG 26 etc.
Is there a photo of him?
Thank you very much for a possible answer.
Greeting Tony

Re: Uffz. Kurt Helmut FINDEISEN (29.4.1920)

He was initially trained as Kampfflieger. He was with 10./KG 53 and 2./Erg TG in 1943/1944. He then trained as a Zerstörer pilot with ZG 101 and Erg Staffel ZG 26. He joined 6./ZG 26 on 21.7.44. He changed to 2./JG 26 on 30.12.44. Was shot down on 4.1.45 and severely wounded. Died of internal bleeding on 16.1.45.

I am interested in the history of 2.Staffel JG 26 in 1938-45. I am especially interested in the biographies of the individual pilots of this Staffel.

Then a trip to MA Freiburg to have a look at RL10/266 and RL10/269 - 273 is a must.

OK, excellent, but you need to check these files too. These will give you much details about others too. Mainly the ones that were KIA/MIA.
