I wasn't aware of the facts you outline. Interesting. So its not known whether the Swedish D.VII 937 was earlier D.5125/18 rather than another D.VII flown by Göring?

Ah, Sorry Clint

No the Swedish one was Fok F.7716/18
The serial number was actually 37. The digit 9 visible in front was a so called year digit which usually indicated the year the aircraft was built.

The actual Swedish paint has variously been described as silver or aluminium bronze. Whatever, when looking at black & white photos, it is impossible to differentiate them from basic white.
