I have under the eyes:Gefechtsbericht zum 23.Luftsieg am 15/02/44-10.27 uhr :Bleckmann Günter,Hauptmann 6./SG2:
Gefechtsbericht:after the description of his combat......"Den Aufschlag konnte ich wegen der starken Abwer nicht beobachten (P-39)"

Luftzeugen-Kampfbericht zum 23.Luftsieg das Hptm G.Bleckmann am 15.02/44,10.27 uhr (Buchner Hermann,Oberfeldwebel 6./SG2:

'Am 15.2.44 flog ich in Schwarm des Hptm Bleckmann.......etc.etc..Den Aufschag konnte ich wegen starker Flakabwer nicht beobachten (P-39).

Remarks
It's clear,neither of them saw the P-39 crash!!
Why was the claim officially confirmed by the RLM??
For many sources,it was his 20 th officially 'Abschus'....20th or 23th?

I don't understand anything.

Michel,

The claim was not confirmed, and that is why the first page of the claim paperwork was stamped VNE and ASM. If you read all of the reports, you can see that they had wireless intercept evidence of a Soviet fighter loss at the appropriate time and place. That is why the claim was submitted without the pilots involved actually seeing the P-39 crash.

Hi Michel,

There is some good progress with Air War Courland. March, April and May 1945 are written, as are July, August and the first half of September 1944. I have written sections of the other periods as well. So after all these years, it is most definitely approaching completion!
