Re: Junkers Ju 86s for Chile
Many thanks, Peter, for the additions and an excerpt from your Ju 86 table.
The reason why I inquired about the constr. numbers of the Chilean Ju 86s is solely to try to understand the logic behind the distribution of the 8603xx series of aircraft built by Junkers. One question, though, the 860341 does not show up in the list included in the Ju 86s sold to Sweden, as published in Swedish Bomber Colours, by MMP Books, page 54. However, the c/n of aircraft No. 135 is given as 860431. Could this be a typo for 860341? Also, can you confirm that 860344 indeed ended up in Hungary? Final question: which customer do you have for 860370?
